Isaac Childs is the founder and chief executive officer of Rustico LLC, a handmade leather goods company specializing in old-world, durable American craftsmanship.

In 1998, Isaac went on a nine-week backpacking trip in Europe equipped with several journals to document the journey. His journal entries became a treasured part of his unforgettable experiences abroad. Later that year, when returning to one of the journals, pages had already begun falling out. Low-quality craftsmanship had affected the durability. After the search for a functional, long-lasting journal left him empty-handed, Isaac decided he needed to craft his own.

Rustico was founded in Utah in 2001 with four core values: Authenticity, craftsmanship, generosity, and purpose. By these values, and with one-of-a-kind products, Rustico strives to inspire others to live intentionally and leave their mark.

Isaac studied entrepreneurial and small business operations at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. For the past nine years, he has been actively involved in the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He is also a member of Truss and TribeHouse, two local networking organizations.

Raised in Utah, Isaac has a great appreciation for the mountains. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, exploring, fly fishing, and writing in his journal. He lives in Lehi, Utah with his wife and three children.
